counting down the days of insanity...

It's been crazy. The whole of monday morning. Having slept at 9.15pm on tuesday, I was pretty sure I hardly read a thing for geography. Good luck to me and my easy-sleep syndrome. So, I woke up at 5.15 to find my head half-empty, not a very desirable state to be in. As the very 'guai' me go to the toilet to study (I dun want to disturb anybody) and also learnt nothing in the end. Haix...what a lousy start for a day. Also went to school early to prevent any more heart lurch and nervousness (I can't stand nervousness) and as a result, had to experience a first-class stomachache just before the start of the paper. Pro right? The paper was average, It wasn't too difficult nor is it very easy. I spent much lesser time than I would for a compo that Mrs Yeo helps me to promote. The standard has dropped but I don't care. So as long as I can get my A1 in English! Geography paper also was't very difficult. Just that I didn't study and could have done better, as my mum would often say. Jerome also says that I could decapitate hin if he doesn't get an A1 in geography. How complacent is that?
Higher Chinese remedial was ok. I found out that my results are lying in the range of the lower Bs and I really need to brush up If I want a decent grade. I will work hard! I will persevere! I will get my B in higher chinese. Because I need to. I have to. and I will disappont myself if I can't.

being in the big black hole...

Yeah....and that bog black hole is the examinations. They should never have any examinations. Even if they wanted to test us, it should be based on some thing more average based like daily work (jared's going to be so happy). But I will fail in that case. Whatever the matter though, it is still agreed that exmas should not even exist in the first place. We will have less stress and responsibility if that happens! Yay!
I was the first person to sit for the chinese oral today and it was heart-breaking. I nearly died of a heart attack just looking at the teacher. She scares the daylights out of me. I even managed to peep at my score.....I think.....and if that reallly was my score, then it's either my standard had dropped all the required had peaked. But I really dun care anymore, it's best to pass! Also got back the maths test results and I didn't fail! Did quite well actually :D That makes me happy. The rest of the day was actually pretty boring and the EFL session dragged on for 20 more minutes before it finally ended. Lectured, boiled and simply bored during the whole session. The air-con must have been spoilt.
And I'm so loving watching pre-recorded movies after school! Soon, I'll be so addicted I can't study.....which is BAD news....

The very broke me....

I am poor. After spending $32 on the chinese dictionery and paying $14 of 'tax' to my mother has made me poor. I have lost $46 in the blink of an eye. Much more too. Like every single bad thing that happened to me yesterday. I have planned to meet up with my aunt at jurong east and that was when we both realised that we jave seperate destinations ; me to Creative, she to IMM. Hence we left on our seperate ways. Me, being the ever dumb, walked the wrong way and even got my feet stuck in the mud! It was gross. It was squelching. It was disgusting. I had to go to the toilet to clean up that mess. Nobody's going to see jinhu's mud-caked feet. Just after washing it off, I simply ran to Creative, which was about 1 km away to catch up on lost time. I was sweating like a dog after all that running and panting. But the shock came when I looked at the price tag. $32. The un-subsidised. To add to my misery, my mum had to impose a 'tax' of $14 (The difference of $18 and $32) and called it a school fee. To teache me that money is not easy to come by. All these wouldn't have happened if jerome didn't drop that dictionery. I'm officially broke.

Today was nice. Geography was going through some anwers and rushing to the toilet (Too much Oriental food!) Science was going through some basic knowledge. Recess expenditure was carefully monitered. Watching the second part of Zoom was ok (beats revising!) CE was total crap. Chinese was average. There was oral today but only the top (register number) went. Also got back my Chinese Lisetening Compre paper and I got full marks! It was a long-lost feeling revived! Doing well for chinese.

That's all the crap I will list today. I'm still not worried for my exams. Just don't want to fail english!

Oriental and Homework....

Sushi......anyone?
The OYSTERS!!!
Cousin Jan and her moustache!
That's the art work I did with acrylic paint....nice?

There are reasons why people love weekends so much and also reasons why people hate weekends so much.

Love : It's a time for break
Hate : It's a time for break
Love : There's no homework
Hate : There's homework

So, I could say that I hate this weekend for its homework. But there's also love. Buffet dinner at the Oriental Hotel. That's love.
The homework is terrible. There's the very tedious science and geography past year eoys, the herat-breaker chinese workbook and oral to prepare for, the ridiculous piece of maths homework and the rather chidlish painting of 'My Bedroom'. I've only finished the 'bedroom' and the chinese workbook, but at least I started on the the rest of them. It's just too little time and too much homework.
Thanks to the successful sale of my grandmother's house, my uncle, being the sole profiter of the entire proceedings, decided to give us a treat at the non-other 6 star Oriental Hotel. It's not cheap. I think it's about $60/adult and $30/child. But it's worth it since I'm not paying. The food is delicious. It really is. They have many different cuisine and all the really expensive stuff. There's crayfish and oysters. They have expresso ice-cream. It's heaven there. Their food is really cream of the crop. You must go. It's a must. Go now.
That's all I want to say about the rather busy weekend. I'm also making a trip to Creative, Jurong just to buy the dictionery that jerome and lionel had happily broke it for me. It costs $18.

The HE practical and the messed up project

It looks wonderful. Don't you think?

Major Chong still haven't call us yet, for any punishments or warnings but I heard from Mrs Kumar that she was going to tell our parents about it. Let them tell. It's nothing 18 of us should be ashamed anyway, it's just the school's fault for blaming us innocent people! I think I made a wrong choice coming to this school, as far as the school could prove it to me. Its just so depressing to be in anderson, I'd rather be in Admiralty Secondary and wake up at 7 every school day! Enough about the mourning and I'll relate how the 2hours oh HE lesson turned out.

It's a fact that I can do really stupid things. I forgot to bring my apron. As simple as that. Just like how I forgot to bring my pencil box yesterday. So, out of desperation, I ran to the Workshop and asked Mr Sim for an apron. Even the D&T one. Mr Sim, being the really kind hearted person that he is, found the cleanest one and lent it to me. Long Live Mr Sim! It was also then did I realise that so many other people were also doing spaghetti, including ming zhen. Eventually, being the 'kind' person that I am, I let her use the saucepan for boiling the noodles while I borrowed another saucepan from sarah and wing yiu. They were making sandwiches. There was also very little variety of food that I had brought so I had to buy mushrooms from ming zhen and get the leftover cucumber from jasper. I'm just so despo. Since I took so long to boil my noodles, there was also the risk of it getting over-cooked but it was just nice at the end. I'm also among the last to present the dish but it doesn't matter since we still have about half an hour before we must stop cooking. I think my spaghetti looks nice and tastes wonderful but that's my opinion and you don't have to agree with me. I have asked many classmates. It really tastes wonderful.
The CME project was a fiasco. Nobody was listening to me when I presented. It was just so disappointing. That was one point that made me hate 1/2. Even Mrs Kumar herself was looking away and nobody really appreciated the 6 hours that I have pumped into this project. It's just so demoralising. Imagine wastimg 6 hours of your time for the CME project and later find out that nobody was paying attention. They said that the powerpoint was too long. It wasn't. It was only 27 slides long. That is not long.
I'm not sure whether I should start on my art or not. Tomorrow must hand in but I'm still to lazy to even care.

...the sky darkens...again...

Only after a rest of two days and the bad luck comes rushing in again. It can be seen in one particular incident, which I shall not talk in detail. There is really nothing interesting that happened on monday and yeasterday so I shalln't waste my time telling them to you. Lets just talk about all the unfortunate events that happened.

Chinese, on one of the rare periods, was actually fun. It was group work and I joined janelle's group. We were given a situation in which we must write our thoughts in as the character that we had chosen and must later tell the whole class about the thoughts and let them guess our character. And due to our abilities, we got two lolipops each for guessing correctly! That's rather fortuante.....I think. There was maths test today and I studied for it. I tried to cramp all I know on everything that was being tested and I hoped I really do well. You people may think that 15% of SA2 may not be a big percnetage but I still put effort in it. Then, I forgot to bring my pencil box. One of the most stupid things that I had ever done. The pencil box had my compass, ruler, set square, protractor and my whole CME project in it (in the form of a thumdrive) and I forgot to bring it. So I had to go and borrow a whole set from vania and return her later. Oh well. Stupid things! The rest of the day was rather calm and smooth-sailing. What was disastrous was after school. So many of us were implicated in the event. As I said, I won't elaborate. All I know is that another black mark is going to tarnish my records. I'm bothered and a little distressed over the matter but it's best not to cry over spilt milk and hope for no consequences.

There's also HE practical tomorrow and I decided to prepare spaghetti. Hope it tastes well...

the clouds clears and the sun shines again

ah.....it's getting better, this whole week. At least the whole week is pretty accident-free. Plus, I've got my phone back and there was no need to pay a single cent! I'm starting to have more trust in Samsung products! Long live them! But, I just found out that the LCD was 'wet' such as there was a mist behind the LCD and that also means that I would have to make another trip and repair again...haix....it's just too troublesome and heartaching. Oh, and since I've finished all homework, I've been playing dragonfable for the past 3 hours, that just shows that deperate people play desperate games. I just want to

- not write crap for all my homework
- not fling my handphone on to the bed
- sleep more and not wake up at 7 on weekends
- understand maths (Mr Leong is not helping...)
- tame my sisters (they are lunatics!)
- have a faster computer
- collect more songs
- have more interesting thing to do on weekends
- get 5 or more 'A's for SA2! (study hard!)

that's not a very long list on what I want. Haix.....if only I have the capabilities....

The really 'SUAY' days...

It has been rather disappointing nowadays. I mean that by the whole week. It's horrible. Utterly the worst week I ever had experienced. My luck is so damn low these few days. My mum's in a bad mood and I'm not spared. Here are all the crap I dealed with.

Tragedies
- My handphone spoiled while playing blind mice on monday
- I got a COP for English UNSW
- I skided and scrathched my elbow, knee and hip while playing volleyball during PE
- I cannot concntrate properly during lessons
- Mr Leong's lessons are getting boring and I suck at geometrical construction
- I lost my water bottle while going home
- My phone bill exceeded by $6.84 and now my mum is in a really BAD mood
- The phone bill exceeded due to the internet charges and I hardly called anyone
- I nearly got knocked down by a car
- The samsung people still haven't called me for the repairs of my phone (or the charges)
- I overshot the station and ended up waiting for quite a long time before the next train
- I get so pissed off easily
- I have many undone and copied homework
- I am about to fall to pieces

Those tragedies really are a long list, considering that they all happen within the span of five days. I'm really falling to pieces. And the cuts still hurt but only when contact with water. I really need to brush up on everything. My homework. My life. My luck. I would also like to highlight the part of almost getting knocked down by a car.
It was pretty amazing really. Winnie, alicia and me were crossing the road when a car that overshot tried to reverse and alsmost knocked us down had not a taxi driver witnessing this scene beeped his horn. The sensation of watching the car almost knowcking us down was rather ethreal. It was mesmerising and there was the surprising deja vu. In scientfic terms, I was subconsciously comparing and contrasting the strength of the car to the fragility of the human being. I call this an out-of-the-world experience.
I am currently trying to play dual masters and am rather good at it already (or so I think). I'm just not sure when I'm really going to just collapse and rest. It's just so tiring.....

The day my phone died...

It was all rather depressing. Besides the obvious crack near the LCD, the phone was totally unconscious. No need to slap the cold piece of metal (much similiar to the sensation of touching a lifeless being), it's not responding. So, finding time in my 'busy' schedule, I carried my phone to the samsung shop in causeway point, my world just falling to pieces....

Hence now I'm stuck with my former's maid phone, a pathethic ancestor of my phone.....and I'm stuck with it for the next few days until the samsung people call me to tell me of the charges of my phone. Warning: Never buy slim phones ; they are extremely fragile! And being expensive phones, they also come with their expenisve repair costs. $40-$50 if socket break, $100+ if the motherboard break. I'm dying here. The intensity is too great. Maybe it's better to get a new phone instead (cheap of course)

With all this talk about my poor handphone, I'm sure you want to know how it broke.....there are two versions: 1 lie and 1 truth. But I'm too tired so just let me tell you how the 2nd part of the holidays were.

Thursday: Went to Ikea Tampines for lunch (I love food from Ikea!) and shopped at Giant. Did not do much homework. Friday: Went to Santa Fe for lunch. It's mexican and now I'm pretty sure I don't like mexican food (they are just too rich in flavour!) Also collected a new SCV box in Starhub and spent loads of time looking at the manual and fixing everything into the correct place. Simply fun. Saturday: Stay home day. Went to Causeway Point for an hour to return my book. Sunday: the morning and afternoon is completely boring. The evening details are below.

Went to the Lluvia concert @ Esplanade with ming zhen, casmelin and siew mun. Later met up with the rest to watch the concert. If you want to know how much I paid for it, it's $8! I love cheap and good stuff! The concert was pretty interesting and as the songs were all in spanish, I couldn't understand a word but at least they all sounded very interesting. Somehow, when I stare too hard at the singers, I would feel myself drifting out of my body, a rather bizzare experience but still fun. Adelynn was amusing. We kept playing with her phone keychain which glowed in the dark. It was already 9.30pm when the concert ends. 2 hours. That's a pretty long time. Ate pork floss bun at breadtalk and took a train to marina bay to catch seats. Oh, and I also learnt much more about girls too! (jerome can't beat me!)

in the mids of the hols

Half the holidays are already gone and I'm still left with so much work.....haix.....this isn't a very good hols. Perhaps I should just finish up my homework quickly....then relax later. Oh well. I'll just tell you people how great my holidays have been so far....

Weekends- Utterly boring.....did nothing except for a little homework....

Monday
Went to school with ryan for maths and CE remedial. Turns out that not many attend, perhaps half the class as the lesson was still boring and at least yours truly is good enough to pay attention to pathethic Mr Leong. That just proves how I sympathise with the pathethic.
The CE rememdial was then again, utterly pointless. Whoever calls back her students just to write two 500-word essays on "Life @ anderson" and "Learning experience" and to also later scan in all our art work. So once again, yours truly is still acting obedient in front of the teacher while reading techno magazines and drinking hot milo in the freezing library. It all just shows what a good student I am! Played blind mice again with the same people and banged my head on a metal bar. It hurts but I'm still not complaining.

Tuesday
Was interuppted while drinking my cup of milo by anderson (again!). It turns out that a teacher had wanted to contact me last night but I was asleep (I sleep at 10.30pm everyday). So, once again, the persisitent teacher called again at 9 in the morning and was perpetually lucky to find me awake this time (lucky for her) and told me that I was nominated to be an anderson young ambassador. That teacher , Ms Lee, continued on by informing me that I was to reach anderson at 11.30am. So by courtesy, I was a little late but early as Ms Lee was still the latest. I also later found out that the role of an AYA was to introduce and advertise our school to all the p6 students from other schools (hope mine will be sembawang!). Choir starts at 1.30pm and that briefing only went on for 20 mins so I just had to spend some time doing my finishing touches for the CE project and still have choir later. Choir was fun as tenor was best!!! I think it was the first time and still do hope that tenor can continue to be the best!

Today
Ryan wakes up late. Despite all my banging all the pathethic door, he is still late so there is about nothing I can do about the situation. I hate late people. Anyway, saw janelle, siew khoon and winnie at the school when we reached there. English oral in secondary schools are not easy. I think I did so badly I could have failed. Oh well. It's no use crying over spilt milk. Shopped at Fairprice XTRA with audrey, siew khoon, janelle, ryan, weile, winnie and jian kun and it was so fun! Being extremely lame at the moment, I just bought 5 slices of mushroom luncheon ham and did not regret it! It was delicious! Yum! Went to watch Rush Hour 3 with winnie and ryan. The movie was nice and winnie commented that I simply overeacted during cinema films. I simply love movies! Met adelynn and zhi hao at the MRT station as a coincidence. Went home with ryan and made a mess in the kitchen while practicing on my HE skills. I can cook eggs, hot dogs, hams and mee goreng now!!! Yay!

It's about time that I stopped writing....my sisters are reading it!
