the holiday checklist :D e c 2007

What I would really want to accomplish during these two months break :

- Recharge, Rejuvenate and Refresh!

- Have more meaningful and efficient choir practices...

- Have FUN during choir camp and chalet and...

- Develop deeper friendships and also rekindle those lost or forgotten.

- Sleep more (min. 9 hours a day)

- Finish up with AYA a.s.a.p (cos it's really interfering into sleep time)

- Revise Chinese (I personally know that my standard is dropping)

- RUN MORE (I still want to be among the top 20 for cross-country)

- Learn more HTML codes and perhaps make my own blogskin (cos I really suck in it)

- Pray for a scholarship (I'm going to be damn rich if I get it!)

- Finish a 'Singapore Budget' Project (I've already started on it...)

- Get a big fat allowance from my pocket money bank to spend...

- Go and meet up with primary school friends. (I have a life!)

- Change my fashion sense and wardrobe (It can't be too shabby or childish)

Last but not least, blog so much more that you'll have to come and look at new fresh posts everyday!

Yea, I must agree choir practices are really much irritable. Everyone's tempers are frayed and not everybody put in much effort into singing a chord. Ms Lim even took back our new japanese score, which she supposes is too difficult for us. Is Anderson Choir really in such a pathethic state? I can hardly believe that, No, I'm sure that we will not make our choir as pathethic as it may seem. We will make a comeback, I'm sure! Bt for now, everybody put in your effort and may the choir rise again in full force! I'm not committed into going to choir sessions where we would get annoyed and learn anything.

And I think it's rather confirmed that I would be going to hong kong by myself. Although my mother and uncle seem rather worried about this whole affair that my father had the biggets role in organising, they still allowed. They are afraid that I'll run into trouble. Missing passport? Traid gangs beating me up? ok that, the beating up part sound ridiculous but they won't be so worried if I lost my money cause I have many relatives in hong kong. My father wants me to go to accompany and please my grandma while wanting me to have a tast of independence. ohhs, sounds interesting and I'll make sure that I would have a khaki jacket with me while boarding the plane! My father says that this expenditure of mine isn't selfish, as he doesn't think so but I'm really going to learn much from this trip not to disappoint him!

AYA is officially sucking to the seven heavens!!! How could they make the presenter wake up at 6.20 on a holiday morning and wait for 30 mins before that person is informed that the session has already been cancelled. It's going to kill somebody! What pathethic arrangement! Even Ms Lee is furious that they didn't even inform her. What a rude gesture! So I didn't go home immediately but loitered around ang mo kio just because I really have no intentions of wasting anymore time and money going back home. Unbelievavbly true that such things of such nature can happen!

Yeah, I think I'm going to end it up here...5 more days and 1 more week to CHOIR CAMP and CLASS CHALET

to hear or not to hear...

It's really fast. A year had ended and I just felt that it was only yesterday. Yupps, school has ended and I think I really learnt much, more than I ever did for those past few years. Perhaps it was the new school. Or even the people I meet from all different walks of life. It's not as simple as primary school where everything was as clear-cut. Everything is confused and nothing seems real. Maybe I should be a buddhist. But I do love my meat too much so I won't be one afterall. Also, these past months really gave me much food for thought. All the insan things I did that I would have never done before. A whole new space of new thoughts that seemed just me. I'm not sure if you ever felt the way I'm describing now but if you ever did, I think you would have just passed a fruitful year. It's now pure bliss. To have control and to know what you like. I want to keep this feeling forever.

I happened to be unlucky enough to be in the fourth in class and I admit that I was disappointed, but then again, this is anderson, not admiralty so I really should praise myself on a job well done. I will aim for higher positions but that will be next year. A whole new year of facing a retard. A whole new year of meeting the same people that I did this year. Another year to enjoy life. It all seems surreal. I should pinch myself and see if I really got up from this sleep. Prize-giving took up one whole hour on this last day of school and that my group actually got a prize for the maths trail (which we did not lose to janelle's group). Recess was an hour long and when we retreated to our classroom, we had about two hours to fool around in the classroom. Being the really kaypo person that I am, I went to have a conversation with everybody and played cards with yun kai, lorena and wen jie. And when the bell rang, everyone scrammed. Nobody wanted to clean up a dirty classroom during the last day of school. Went to sun plaza with winnie and perhaps the place was chosen due to an instinct of mine which wanted to return to the place that has passed in time. Read some magazines in the library and had soyabean for a drink at mr bean. Nice, fulfilling afternoon.

Woke up early today although needed to reach school at 9.30. Choir was terrible. I hate practices in the morning as my voice is never ready and I yawned about 50 times during the entire session which Ms Lim tormented and scolded us. Went to AMK Hub with 1/2 nians for lunch and later went to yck stadium for badminton. It was damn fun lols. I improved and thrashed many people. Haha. That really is good exercise and had blisters on my fingers after playing. What hard work and fun. We played for 2 hours before going home.

Dad has also said that he allows and will sponser me going to hong kong! Isn't that just great?! Imagine going to a country all by youself and tour the streets while visiting your relatives! But I dun think I would like to go, after much serious thinking. Also imagine, you being such a selfish person, going to hong kong by yourself at the expense of others. It's just so inconsiderate and unthoughtful. Anyway, I had already went hong kong twice and I really don't want my parents to spend so much for me on just this holiday to reward me for my results. Sometimes I feel I don't deserve it. I don't want my parents to spend so much just so that I could enjoy myself. I don't think that is required. I just want more pocket money so I can really pamper myself in singapore.

I really wonder how the holidays will be like. It will not be determined whether I am going hong kong or not. Rather, it will depend on how meaningful this december holidays can be.

gonna be free

how dare that bitch ruined this whole afternoon. she deserves to be hated. for being a lousy friend. for being a betrayer.

ohhs...please dun care about that striked quotes. It's just there to blame somebody. and I'm not telling you. I'm just gonna say that this person ruined the whole afternoon as well as my patience. Yeah, today was supposed to be a happy day but it wasn't because of that somebody. And i got back my report book back and the results look damn disgusting, perverse and totally out of proportion. All I can say that is I got 7 As and 3 Bs for the whole year score of 72.6. it's going to be boring to just list out all the results like that, not to mention conceited and I have no intentions of you dozing off the moment you come my blog. I got 64 each for the both languages, which is really very unfortunate. (where did that 1 mark go?) I got the last B at Maths which I'm happy that I even managed to get a B in the first place. The rest are just plain As and no Cs!!! Oh gosh i really love this set of results and for those who are itching to know my L1B5, it's 10 and I like it the way it is.

The Maths Trail was a marathon cum brain-breaker. Actually it was more of a marathon as we really had to run all over the place like wild dogs. But I love being a wild dog! I also found out from that exercise that I'm really not going to make it for the top 20 of cross-country runners next year. I feel so exhausted just running in suntec alone. How am I going to face the 4.8km run next year? exercise more? think so lols. Ended up having snacks there even though we were not supposed to buy anything. And lost to janelle, ryan, yi jun and siew khoon in the matsh trail in the time aspect. We are slow.

Wore a blue shirt and khaki-coloured pants for Be Yourself Day today in conjunction with Arts Fest. My spiked hair was unsuccessful because of the totally short hair that I have. Many regrets for the spelling bee. Could have won if I actually took part. But because of AYA. What sacrifices. What dashed dreams. What a disappointed class. What an angry sarah! haha! I guess AYA wasn't just as simple as speaking in front of a crowd but also carrying 300 notebooks from the school to Jing Shan hall. It's like damn heavy lols. We went there with the vice-principal in the disciplinary master's car. That louis's cousin which once scolded me like siao. But those were bygones. I think he has cleanly forgotten everything. The vice-principal actually talked much more than what I had initially expected. The presentation was so roughly made up and I remember that I have to rush to Kuo Chan Presbyterian tomorrow. What a busy me. What a lazy holiday. What a contradictory me. Today's swensens trip wasn't as happy as I though it would be. We had to wait 40mins for the others! Which sane person would do that? and it was so pai seh but at least one apologised while the other just got distracted by her primary scool teacher. What insanity. The topless 5 was nice. Later, after loitering for a while, that somebody had to go, bringing the other with her. What a fun-ruiner. As in, I'll never ever want to go out with that somebody ever again. It's just too infuriating.

But I'm determined not to get angry because of her. it's not worth it. I'm just gonna enjoy the holidays, like how you're doing now.

the really unbelievably happening results...

I think I'm mad. I should be. After going through 9 papers in one days has certainly tire me out. I even freaked out during class. People heard me. I sound damn emo. There's a reason behind all these, but I'll just tell you how the day actually began.

I remembered rushing to the toilet just to shit all all my stress, literally and all the stress really went away with the waste. then, Mr Sim had to enter the room with a box full of exam papers. i should think that the first paper given out was maths. I didn't fail! I didn't lose to ryan! and I'm glad I didn't. 56/80, A2, was pretty ok I supposed, at least better than last term's performance. Nevertheless, I still have 7 subjects unknown and another big fat shock waiting for me. I didn't do badly for Higher Chinese! In fact, I got a 42.5 for compre and compo despite failing my summary so badly. It's only a on-off key affair. It's not consistent and getting B3 for Higher Chinese sounds nice (just nicely rounded off!) I'm also no longer a history freak or something! I got 59/80, A2 I think and I should feel that it's just right. No more nasty comments or sideway glances. Only peace. Just as I had hoped for that, Mr Sim had to announce our English overall. I got a 69!!! Somebody save me! It's deja vu. It can never be so coincidential! It's even my cross-country number! Can you believe all these insanity. I did it. I snapped a pencil and it created a very nice click sound in the class. Followed by that was immense laughter. I think my soul drifted away and when I returned to consciousness, I wanted to go mental. It has already been the last 2 terms! When can the number not bother me. I'm going to be so violently sick.

Recess helped cooled down my nerves and I felt ok after the whole ordeal. there wasn't much drama after that. It was just results after results and all over again. So overall, I got an A1 for geography (which jerome the sick got 97!), A2 for Maths, Science, History, Liteature Home Economics, B3 for English, Higher Chinese and Art. This 1 A1 performance may seem pathethic compared to the 6 A1 performance last term but at least the lowest grade was a B3! *smiles* CE was a waste of time and neopets is fun!

Attended for AYA again and didn't present very well, and wed is the first. But no worries, I believe that things will eventually pull through. Choir was subdued. I think Mt Yong (Conductor!) wasn't in such a good mood today. But as I said, it pulled through.

I will be sharing a room with amos, sebestian and poh seng I think for the choir retreat but you can be sure that it's not my choice.

just a little break in the big break...

Ooosh...the weekends are finally here and I'm still in one piece, until monday where we would get back our exam scripts and start being depressed, Perhaps this weekend is the last few days of enjoyment. It all depends on performance now. Good = big fat long break! Bad = another pile of homework....and sometimes I try to tell myself that it doesn't matters but I still can't control it yet. Some people are right. I'm a freak and complete psycho during the exam period and worse so when getting back the results.
Today's actually a pretty happy day. Mrs Goh never come (again!) and I was suffering from gastric-related problems, having ate hardly anything for breakfast. Maths was insufferable. Mr leong's face tells it all and his equally deterring voice steeres all of us to dreamland. There wasn't much to listen anyway. And the top scorer came from our class but it's definitely not thanks to him for this accomplishment, I'm sure that all the effort and hard work werecommitted by whoever that scored so high. (I really hope it's not nicholas) Geography and History was nice. After teaching us all that we need to know, both Ms Wang and Ms Lim gave us free periods. Ms Wang must be happy. She even told us some of the most ridiculous answers that came from our class. All expected from our impossible-class.
AYA was dragged and we were making final plans. Ended up that I paired with aruna instead of praveena. It doesn't make a difference, except that aruna was also in choir. We also managed to choose the primary schools that we wanted to promote our school to. I chose Kuo Chan Presbyterian, Ang Mo Kio Primary, Jing Shan Primary and Greenwood Primary. The wierd thing is that sps wasn't even made a choice despite being nearer to Anderson. Strange but not unexpected since they also didn't come to sps last year to promote. Choir was fun. It was short and snappy but it wasn't. At least that was what Ms Lim, the conductor had said. Nevertheless, we had the fun of discussing about the choir year-end retreat at Sebana Cove and about our choir tees. I chose S. I want to be a small person for the first time in my life.
Things are not going to be boring for the nov-dec hols, I sense. Things, on the other hand are going to get more interesting and fulfilled.

I'm gonna fail everything.

Yupps...that's right, I'm really going to fail everything. Ok, if not fail, then it would be flunking it. That's all I got back after we went through the exam scripts today. Everything was horrible and the post-exam day was a total waste of time since the movie and the workshop were pointless. Yeah...I've a got a good idea that I can probably just pass chinese and perhaps get a B for science and english. But I really do prey that I wouldn't get another 69 for english. It kills. It's ok if it's a bit lesser but I really don't want 69. Hear that! Ohhs and by pure coincidence (all thanks to jun siang), I know how much I got for Home Economics and it would be pathethic if I siad it to the former batch but normal if I say it to our batch : 71/100. That's the results. Mrs Kumar is just so bias and petty and 'grudge-bearing'. Just becasue that she found out that her class was bullying her during the second half of the term doesn't mean that she has to be bias and give our batch such pathethic results. And people could fail HE....which was like a little impossible....but it's ok since I hardly studied for the test :D

Does Mrs Kumar's bias side offend people ; I think so, that's the reason we are so bent on bullying her. You don't have to read the fine print! (but maybe she would treat us better if we treat her better) But there are still two things I wish would happen soon ; Me passing maths and Mrs Kumar not being the form teacher of 2/2 0'8!

the little strolls out of the house...

Winnie's disgusting coffee.
The cobweb of fun!
The coast of west coast
Welcome to Haw Par Villa
Does this reminds you of anything?

These few days were pretty occupied. It's out of the house from friday to today and even tomorrow. But for now, I think it's still best to chat about those little strolls out of the house.

Friday

It was pretty fun and tiring. Joined winnie, alicia for lunch and arcade at causeway. Arcade was fun. Lunch was chicken rice at Horzon Food Mall. So later, as ironic as it seems, sh joined us when we were going to compass point for window-shopping. I hate the long wait and journey and also the fact that my mp3 ran out of juice just when we were out of causeway. But it still turned out fine. Compass point seemed rather small but we still managed to spend two hours there and another half going in circles on the LRT. At least there was lots of food and fun. There were also many uncovered truths but I won't say a thing about it in this post, lest something goes wrong. Was pretty tired at the end of the trip. Snoozed early.

Saturday

Had a heavy breakfast and also an equally heavy lunch at swensens. Also went to courts to buy dvd player for grandma as her birthday present. There were many, so we picked a 'seemingly good-looking' one at a price of $39. (I know I'm cheapskate)Happened to find out that starbucks would be opening a branch at civic centre (hint* for those who love starbucks!) It was nice. Causeway point would be a more meaningful place to shop with new stores and a new look. A continued with the dvd player, it didn't work!!! $39 practically flew away. Its main purpose is to play those self-recorded dvd discs and now it can't play a single one. What's fascinating is that it can play vcd and original discs. Please lah, why so upright? why can't bend the rules a little? It was also the secomd phase of my grandma's birthday celebration and it's officially held at my house. This means that my infant cousins will come and wreck the place again, there will be another prima deli cake sliced, a portion of dinner that would be meticulously saved for them by my grandmother. (Just like when I was their age...12 years ago?) And it all came back again, the feeling of being 'shy and reserved' at my own house. I'm being pathethic. Please don't care.

Today

I woke up at 6, and left the house by 6.50. All for the sake of the brisk walking activity that I had been actively been a member for 2 years. I'm not loving it and it's seriously good at draining energy, time and sleep on a sunday morning. But I had been pursuaded to join in the first place and besides, there were feebies whenever you redeem your stamps (I said I was cheapskate). Those monthly trips often brought us to places like east coast and parks, places that we hardly go to. And this time, it was west coast and haw par villa. West coast was fun. Like east coast, it is situated mear the sea, but is much smaller and have more playgrounds for childish people like me. Ate macs for breakfast. Haw Par Villa was rather traditional and old. There were the ten courts of hell and also other statues and figures from the chinese mythology. They even tell you the consequences of certain evil doings in hell. Pretty harsh and gruesome but it was convincing.

For people who like to think of me as an idiot, kiasu or other characteristics, it's fine with me. But do remember that the consequences of spreading your own remarks and comments of people to others ; in short rumours, is having your tongue pulled out.

Happy 100th post

The spaghetti dejavu

The exams are finally over!!! *smiles* *laughs* *blast music* It all sounds rather dandy and wonderful but I forgot one tny little detail ; what am I going to do after exams? Luckily there are a few last minute measures like going alicia's house and play again and going causeway. But go causeway sian already and it's not really polite to go to alicia's house and play everyday so until when I think about some other activities, I think I'll like to relate to you of that wonderful tale yesterdy.

HE exam tested on everthing that I didn't learn but they are mostly common sense and with a few made up questions, there are no blanks I left. It's ratjer surprising, the class didn't go mad as I expected, instead, they went to change into their PE attire and later left, saying that 21 of them are going to yck stadium to play badmintom. I didn't follow them of couse and went home to watch even more tv drama and later, set off to alicia's house.

Winnie was already there when I reached and apparently noob shit/tyco shit was not happy that I can thrash her in burnout 3 so she got angry and wanted to challenge me in bloody roar 3. But this time, I became the noob and lost but nevermind, at least it was fun. And when break time came, we rushed down to the kitchen to cook spaghetti, with alicia's mum consent of course. It wasn't a mess and the spaghetti was very organised and delicious....that shows the work of us HE students....professional? Had to clean up the whole kitchen and it was lame....to all the griefs, the swings were surrounded by construction works and although the construction worker said that we can play, it was too smelly....haix....

Hopefully, there will be a more professional approach of posts and renovation of works, marking the difference of the 1st century of posts from the next centuries.

not yet over....

I'm so jealous. So jealous of everybody in sec 1 that has their register number in the 1 - 20 range. The 21 - 40 range are the ones to suffer. They are the ones who have to go to school for that HE exam, which last for 45 mins. What a complete waste of time. This means that you have to reach school by 7.20 and get dismissed at 8.45. Then after tomorrow, it would be yays to freedom! No more mugging! No more stress until 3 months later! That's why this is the 99th post, cause I want to reserve my 100th post for that wonderful day of NO MORE EXAMS! But the things with HE is that it doesn't have to be studied. It's just common sense. But, I am willing to take up 5 mins of my time just to look through some of the terms. Haha, the study-addict! jkjk. I still hate exams. Went to causeway and alicia's house to celebrate the 'EXAMS-END'. I am also hooked to Bloody Roar and Burnout 3!!! I'm going to play till my fingers rot. And I just realised that My Chem songs are really quite nice, like 'This is how I disappear' and 'Disenchanted'....

According to many people, I'm siao during exam period.....

the really wronged codes

and I just realised something : my posts are all in html and I can't change it back. Oh well. This isn't quite a shock but to have all the troubles to come back again, I really need to master html during the holidays ; to reset this totally inappropriate settings and traps that I have landed myself in. But that's for later, right now, I'm left with 1.5 exams (HE isn't really an exam) and I don't think I will do well for lit. Abd I flunked the whole chinese paper 2 and I'm still hoping to get an A2 (I'm still dreaming). That's the rather all-impossible me. Haix....at least yesterday's evening was pleasent.

After studying for like 5 hours of chinese (I know that it's un-necessary) under the force of my mum, I'm proud to say that I've learnt nothing. Serious, chinese cannot be studied over 5 hours. Went to sembawang park for dinner to celebrate grandma's birthday (althogh her birthday is on 10 days later) and we had seafood, which my cousin ultimately detests the fried squid. there was also chilli crab, which was uber delicious and expensive. Oh gosh! $80 for 2 crabs! I'd rather eat abalone. But the crab was nice so no worries. The place is air-conditioned and I'm glad to say that there were no ghosts or mosquitos hovering aroound us. Afetr dinner, while the adults were left to chat, I brought all the other cousins to the playground and play (I know I'm damn childish) and I lead the group cause I'm the eldest. Haha! They haive swings there kaes and it was nice swinging while blasting music from the phone. But those were short-lived moments. They ended fast.

the blogger idiot.

come to think of it, I'm not even sure how to deactivate the stupid looking navbar other than switching my publishing format to FTP, which in turns made me type in html and gives me endless trouble in posting!!! Argh....really hate html but wants blogger experts like wei xin and alicia to coach me on the proper uses of html code. and after that, yours truly would be able to publish even more goodies and insights. But for now, due to my shitty skills and coming exams, everything has to be postponed. Shelve those plans. They are definitely better than all those exams that have to be taken. To hell with exams. They are stress, worries and endless mugging. And to the root of the problems, we take exams to please parents, yourself and perhaps the future ahead. But who cares about the future of it is impossible to even be sure of the present. (I know it's too cheem) So the general advice is to take care of yourself before thinking about the exams (such horrid things!).

this is just a random and pointless post.

exams 'over'...

the break that we all have been working for. The little things in life that we look forward to. The exams aren't over but at least there's this well-deserved break to cheer us up. Yepps. I'm not going to do so well for this SA2 but at least I did my best. I still slacked. Like watching tv and eating macs. but I dun care. Passing english is all that matters.

Wednesday
it's still rather crazy that I would eat macs with friends after exams but I did it. English Paper 2 was average. The comprehension difficult but the summary was quite ok. Hope I did well. The macs affair was crazy. After ordering a large Milo, I was soon listening to all the crap that they had all wanted to say. There were even some of them who were studying like ryan and weile. As I said before, losing out. Later went to NTUC just for the sake of it and stepped out 5 mins later to go home. I need to study science.

Thursday
they tested on everything that I had not learnt. Cells and other crap. Mrs Dan had said that only 30% of semester 1 work would appear in the exams. But perhaps I wasn't listening because I didn't really study for them and now I pray. Pray for that A1 I want.....and my mum's birthday was a rather silent affair. Me, the organiser and also the co-servant for this event is still proud to say that I've done my work well. Ordered the cake. Delivered the cake. Poured the sparkling juice. Took the photographs for that not-so-memorable evening.

Today
I hate maths. It's the most damn rotten subject ever. It's worse that chinese and that's bad. It's really bad. I have to confess that I really did not see all those tedious numbers and algebraic signs coming. I left alot of questions blank. I even harboured the thought of getting A1. Someone please clear that thought out of my mine. I don't think I can even pass. Anyway, went to causeway point to shop for alicia's mum present since today's actuallt her birthday. Mothers' birthdays do tend to fall in october. I also bought a tiny little present from that shop. I think it's suitable. It should be ok to be my mother's belated birthday present. I relieved that good old taste of haveing takoyaki balls again. There's a shop in Causeway that sells that now! It's delicious. Long live takoyaki balls!

so not loving exams....

ok. It's a a statement. I hate exams. they are the worst possible assesment that could have been ever created. They torture. They make us mug. They give us stress. Hiax...but thinking of all that wonderful stuff after exams is just pure love and pleasure. But that's after exams, so lets ust concentrate on what's important : the insufferable exams.
I was pretty sick after the english and geography paper. Must have been the air-con and extreme sweating during the test. I was down with flu and had a terrible sore throat such that even talking hurts. And I'm also pretty desperate ; I can even start learning new chinese phrases and of course, without doubt, completely forget the phrase itself, not to mention the meaning. I'm pretty desperate. I hate exams.
The Higher Chinese writing was pretty ok and I used none of the phrases that I have tried to learn, so in short, all my efforts went down the drain. But I'm still pretty happy that I did better than I expected or so I think.
I don't like history any more. It sucks! Even after all that desperate mugging, I can still forget half of whatever I studied. It's over. I have broken up with history. I will not do well for history. I will allow jerome and lionel to trample me. I had enough.
So tomorrow's the english paper 2. But I can't be bothered. I just need to pass. I don't think I want that A1 anymore. For all the stress that it accompanies. Good bye and good ridance!
