Ready? Fire!

The really nice view from the top of kent ridge park.

The really strange ornamental piece at Biopolis

This $500k machine...better be careful!
I was drifting in and out of sleep. Had you have that experience before?
But before I explain, do note that I posted twice today (this is the second one).
Yeah, it's really surreal (flipping of dictionery). And it's like you're never sure of you're awake or asleep. The thing is that you're still pretty conscious that you're still in your bedroom perhaps through out the whole night. But you're not awake. You're also not sure if you're asleep. It's a pretty ethereal feeling (flipping of dictionery again) That's all really nice until your sister shouts at the door for you to wake up. That's what happened to me this morning.
It was a brisk walking session if you don't know what I'm talking about and it's held once a month. And as the title already mentioned the location, you should know already. It started to drizzle when we reached kent ridge. It's a really charming place and you get a great view of the commercial ports in singapore. Then the drizzle stopped. It starts again a minute later. But it ended again, five minutes later and that is the drizzle story. Strayed around the whole place till 9.45 when we head to Biopolis.
It's like the ultimate science park. The best of the best. I'm convinced, You should go there to see for yourself. The G-O-H (Guest of Honour) was the health minister and the channels newsaia crew was there but I doubt that it got a glimpse of me. The presentation was pretty illuminating. But the lunch was better. Much much better. And there's a downside to everything of course. (must-read!)
Old aunties who go there only for the sake of lunch. They even slept during the presentation and clapped extra loudly when they thought it was about to end. It's so damn ridiculous. Can singaporeans be less kiasu. The support given by those old aunties were as strong or even better, at the scene of lunch, where hundreds of them flood the queues and the stalls. Of course, there was the jostling, elbowing and guarding for their 'getting' food space. Getting is a total underestimation. They were like shoving the fried rice with a spoon into a plastic bag and later, sushi, chicken wings...the list goes on! And it so happened that I would be seeing a concealed sushi container containing more than 20 sushis in a red plastic bag of a fellow aunty. That's not the worse. There were even a pair of aunties who gladly land their butts on the chairs of our table. They didn't even ask if anyone was sitting there! And together with them, their plates, crammed with a wide variety occupied half the space for a table of 6! And we have 6 people! That means that our people would have to stand while those third-class attitude aunties started to fight with my sisters for table space. Queueing for laksa was the most civilised situation the 5-star-food buffet could be. (It's the same as those for the Mandarin Hotel!)But you still have to be careful incase an aunty who wanted to get more gravy accidentally spills some of the gravy on you. It's totally a battlefield out there. What meant to be a nice eating place became a replica of World War 2. Simply atrocious!
Of course, with their bloated stomachs and bags packed with the take-n away food, the aunties no longer found interest in the tour anymore and would look forward to getting back on their respective club buses back home. I'm completely ashamed to say that I'm from woodlands. Of course, the tour would then begin. But the tour, as expected, was a total disappointment. All we did was to enter a room and look at a machine in the span of an hour, including waiting time. And the machine didn't look all that interesting but the amount spent could buy you a big flat at woodlands. Went home full.
The BFG, Roald Dahl is really nice.
