footprints in the sand. i like the name alot. but the song's not bad too.
Above my head, the seagulls soared, their wings gliding along the salty sea breeze. The sun shone brightly, radiating rays of white light that glisten on the surface of the sea. Palm trees, with their thin, reed-like leaves swayed to the rhythmn of the winds, while at the same time, cast shades which shelter me from the sweltering heat.
However, it was the sand beneath my feet that I was captivated by. For it was neither man-made nor synthehic, unlike the roads and pavements connecting the cities. Like the crystal clear waters of the sea, the sand was pure and whole. As the sand sifts through the gaps between my toes, it sent a tingle down my spine. Tickling me, cajoling with me, bringing up memories of my youth days.
I could still feel those young vibes in my heart, thumping ever so loudly. The joy and the sweetness of it all! Childishly, I hobbled towards the sea and poked my fingers into the cool calm waters, sending ripples slowly and gently back to the sea. A reflection of myself ebbs away with the waves swiftly yet I caught it in that instance.
I was old.
The greying temples along that shrivelled pair of ears. Wrinkles were creased into my skin, not unlike cracks on the grounds of earthquakes. The diluted brown eyes were what left of eyes which used to twinkle with youth and vigour. Drooping eyelids and and sagging cheeks had all to remind me once again that I was a seventy-six year old grandpa with numbered days to live.
this is an excerpt of a yet to be written story entitled Once upon a time. if only i had the time and the patience to continue from this or start from somewhere else.
Triple sighs. I haven't been feeling so good.
And in case of any miscommunication out there, i don't have anything against {inserts name}. it's just that after everything, i don't think me and her can ever get to be the best of friends.
this should clear up the rumour/misunderstanding that i hate her or i think she is a person with any negative terms attached.
brr. i hate how all these things happen in the first place and why people are inclined to believe that something done, no matter how insignificant or far-fetched has all the ill-intentions against them and such.
it's the stigma of all these insercurities we are suffering from because we live in a world where peole backstab one another or have multiple miscommunications because we barely have enough trust for ourselves, let alone for other people.
and it's a vicious cycle. the world is moving too quickly. we must always be adaptable and/or ruthless to survive. that's why we never had the time to sit down and talk about our feelings towards certain issues. and never had the chance to clear ourselves of these insercurities we are ashamed of.
but maybe someone had saw it coming and that person brought along a fantastic solution to this problem: counsellors.
as i said, i never did once regret talking to kelda chan.
but then again, people start trying to link the notion of counsellors to that to a doubting of your mental stability?
is that person crazy, why did he go and talk to a counsellor?
disclaimer: i'm referring to that not-so-awesome world people sometimes think about when they are feeling emotionally down and not that perfect world with perfect people when your spirits are up and ready.
but in case, you're wondering, i'm not emo-ing. i'm jut reflecting on certain issues that in my head no matter what i'm feeling.
and before i say goodbye, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!
