lost again, in the heat of the moment.

You're the sky that I fell through
And I remember the view
Whenever I'm holding you
The sun hung from a string
Looking down on the world as it warms over everything
Chills run down my spine
As our fingers entwine
And your sighs harmonize with mine
Unmistakably
I can still feel your heart beat fast when you dance with me
We got older and I should've known (Do you feel alive?)
That I'd feel colder when I walk alone (Oh, but you'll survive)
So I may as well ditch my dismay
Bombs away, bombs away

Circle me and the needle moves gracefully
Back and forth
If my heart was a compass you'd be north
Risk it all cause I'll catch you if you fall
Wherever you go
If my heart was a house you'd be home

It makes me smile because you said it best
I would clearly feel blessed if the sun rose up from the west
Flower balm perfume, all my clothes smell like you
Cause your favorite shade is navy blue
I walk slowly when I'm on my own (Do you feel alive?)
Yeah, but frankly I still feel alone (Oh, but you'll survive)
So I may as well ditch my dismay
Bombs away, bombs away

Circle me and the needle moves gracefully
Back and forth
If my heart was a compass you'd be north
Risk it all cause I'll catch you if you fall
Wherever you go
If my heart was a house you'd be home

This is my latest favourite from owl city. Cool, three songs have made it on the list: the saltwater room, vanilla twilight and now this.

Life's pretty screwed up now. Getting dragged into a event which made me wake up at 6 after sleeping at 1.30 in the morning. Well, my parents expected me to go midnight shopping with them and signed me up for some brisk walking event which I was more than happy not to go. No choice. So sleep deprived when I went home. My sister was this spoilt radio. She can't shut up and keep screaming when I was taking my nap. -.- And the times where she keep playing the tune of red river valley until it gets on everyone's nerves except hers.

Something got me onto an emotional turmoil. Like arghhhhhhhh. of all times, now. why, this stupid talk which makes me feel like an idiot. Right now, when i need to study and when my grades seem more crapped up than usual.

I think I'm deteriorating for english again. Same cycle last year. O:

At this rate, I doubt my own sanity.

But for now, it's still ok.

For now.

in my daze, i dream.

this photo is pretty cool isn't it?

The last week before SA2 was some hectic rush of some sort. For everyone except this slacker typing this post. Suddenly, notes are being drafted and large reserves of free time are allocated to studying/revising/mugging. Feeling the heat (literally, the weather's really hot today) from all the pressure. As if SA1 wasn't junky enough, I don't have to screw up SA2.

I really wanted to go hongkong ever since I left more than 2 years ago. But not for the wrong reasons. It was not going, going then finally not going. Because there weren't anymore return tickets. So even if I could go, I can't come back. And get to skip the whole of SA2. O:

Hosted mid-autumn with aruna. LOL. I still need to use a script. Yeah lah, not as pro as aruna lar. LOL. Anyway, had a great time though I keep having the impression that I was being exploited, like those child labourers from third world countries.

OK, need to study liao. otherwise wan dan le. And as SA2 comes, one can't help but feel that time passes a little too quickly.

Because one year ago, we were all wearing shorts.

a tangled up jellyfish, suicidal.

Hey kids, the hari raya break is over. And school started today. Well, again.

Not much happened today except for the writing unsw. oh well, a screw up is a screw up. there's always next year. (:

invest was ok i suppose. it's fascinating why they have such an elaborate ceremony for the council. and what we watched was only the dry run. and it dragged so long.~~~

i don't know what to say. either that or i don't know what i can say. maybe i'll just lock up this whole blog. i've got to do it. or risk getting distracted.

dead beat, bye.

20092009

I remebered flag day. This is the first photo in (inserts time) since blogger screwed up.

I like today's date. In fact, I'm only blogging because the date looks cool.

Yay, blogger's finally not screwed. Long time coming eh. I suppose school's been alright. CCA stopped on monday and I get to go home early for the rest of the days because there were no afternoon lessons. Not that I did since taking one hour lunches and one hour walks are becoming the habits of choice nowadays.

Homework is manageable. It's revision that isn't. Watching movies online is a huge of time says a recalcitrant guy who does it every friday night/saturday morning. Slept at 2 and got called out of bed 6 hours later.

I think I can cope with sleep deprivation better now than 365 days ago.

"365 days ago, the sky was sunnier. 365 days ago has since passed. 365 days too fast."

It all seemed like yesterday. In less than 2 months time, I'm gonna sit for a national exam and I'm still wasting time. Heard from somewhere that time is our most valuable currency. You've gotta admit that it's true.

Indie rock bands sound cool. Thinks of the hush sound and owl city. The Saltwater Room is one of the best song I've heard in months. Sad but true, all the mainstream pop acts are starting to sound the same. Maybe the tune is catchy enough but I can't help but wonder why I could only remember a jumble up of tunes and not the song. Everything's starting to sound the same.

Currently addicted to country story. LOL. facebook games. Can't live with them, can't live without them.

because the sky's only starting to grey.

Yo! It's first day of term 4. Time does fly.

It feels natural to slowly slip back into the rhythmn of school life and strike the conversations heard barely a week ago. Even the lessons were famaliar. The way the teachers talk and the musty smell in the classroom filled with 47 pupils. I feel at ease in my surroundings for a moment because it's some place which I am famaliar with.

I cleared my head alot during the weekends. There's more to life than I thought there was and maybe I shouldn't pay too much focus, dreams and hopes into a particular domain. Sure, it may be important. But don't store all your eggs into one basket. It's gonna be a heartbreaker if that basket ever got run over a 20 tonne truck.

Choir was O: today. Tenors didn't do ok and I felt as if I got screwed myself. Yeah because I'm a tenor myself.

It's kinda weird to mug. Even though I last mugged barely 3 weeks ago.

flag day 12/9/09

Would you like to donate to yong en care centre?

***

Yesterday was my first flag day. And in a bid to liven up the holiday mood and get cip hours, I signed up for it. No regrets.

Ok, perhaps except when I contracted this sudden muscle cramp on my left calf outside dhoby gaut mrt station and sank my knees onto the 32 degrees hot pathway. And it was just in front of the traffic lights for all to see. So laokui. But if any of them thought it was pitiful, it never appeared on their faces.

他们都在偷笑我那狼狈的样子。 就在那瞬间,我觉得非常尴尬, 恨不得立刻藏起来。

Yeah, begging for sympathy. LOL.

Sometimes, in the pursuit for donations, I can't help but wonder if I were a pest or a beggar, shamelessly approaching the public for change. But on hindsight, maybe not. The purpose of flag day is to after all raise funds for charity organisations. Still, with that dark blue bag, embedded with an A4 sized logo of yong en care centre, it seems that people are steering clear at a distance of 5m radius away.

Hardly surprising, but it nonetheless reflects alot in society.

Observation 2: Girls have it easier than guys to ask for donations and succeed. I don't know if there's some sort of subconscious compass in the general public who prefer having their donations stored in the blue bag of a girl but it seems like it. Just like how this guy in toa payoh rejected gladwin despite him asking first but went straight to slot his money into mz's bag.

Observation 3: Toa Payoh seems to have more willing donors than in Orchard Road. But those in Orchard Road tend to donate in higher denominations.

So it was fun hanging out with xianlong, kuanting, gladwin, mingzhen and siewmun. Took photos but was unaware that other photos of us were taken off until mz pointed at the mrt camera pointed at us.

LOL.

I had a great day yesterday anyway. It's supposed to be work day today. And it was when I cleared my geog, chem and bio file 2 hours ago. And realised that I might not have completed all the homework i claimed to finish, only homework which I thought I had. :X

hurricane katrina paid a visit to my room.

My room just got blown by a hurricane. Actually not just, the mess has been accumalating since the start of term 3.

Like the aftermath of a natural disaster, my room left every mark. From the debris of books on the desk to the carpet of messy papers on the floor. Death: Popular card cause I can't find it. ): The Rescued: Chemistry worksheet which i accidentally left on the garang guni in tray! :s Urgency of clear up: Urgent! Mother nagging leads to undesirable consequences. Term 4 is going to make the room end up looking more likea mass prison than a room suitable for urban subsistence.

Measures taken: sorted out five subject files. supposed to be doing chemistry now. But am filing this report currently.

Back to earth. Homework is situation is in the green. (: I completed all except SS. Revision is not under control. I've barely read one chapter of any subject. Instead, I indulge in 8 movies and a thriller called Unforgotten by Clare Francis. The book's actually ok. but i find myself too impatient to actually want to read the book in a leisurely pace. oh well, after reading revolutionary road, expectations are sky high. Hmmm, should find more books by richard yates.

I actually have a hard time remembering the exact 8 movies which I watched. Which I now know is a huge waste of time. Haix.

What's the use of watching movies when you forget them a few days later? What's more is that these movies took up like 20 hours of my time! But if you actually compare this to the 10 hours a mapler would spend each holiday for a minimum of five days, it's actually moderate.

That's if I start comparing to me in sec 2 dec hols. It probably won't be fair. Like how some people have intersting holiday activities to preoccupy them while I rot at home for two days in front of the computer screen. Staying at home doesn't sound so great and relaxing anymore.

no rain. no shine. no snow.

I realised that girls blog more often and that there are more girls in the blogosphere. (if there's such a word) Not that it's something we should be worrying about. Blogging after all is a form of self expression and I guess girls tend to be the ones who express themselves more. Either that or they have nothing else to do. I don't know. Half the times I blog is because I have nothing else to do.

With the exception of watching movies. I think I've watched something like 5 movies the past few days. And I'm running out of movies to watch. Maybe that's the reason I've been dying to go to a cinema. All the new movies are there now. Not in this computer. There's been no rain, no shine and no snow. It's been neither gloomy nor bright but rather a hollow emptiness, with a little breeze now and then but that's all there is to it.

Choir was alright. Comm meetings are my favourite because it's been rather amusing too during the past few meetings. Like planning camps and throwing suggestions onto the board. It's fun and provoking. And ms lim thrown out all my dirty linen today, like my ignorant sec 1 days when I got all the tenors scolded in sebana cove because I couldn't sing in tune. That's no secret and I don't mind people talking about it because it's the past. Maybe I can cook up some sort of interesting story from this little piece of fact. But that itself is a whole different story.

Sebana cove was fun but it was a reminder of the past too. Scoop a spade of sand and gently bury it. Move on, the future's ahead, not behind.

This post is too heavy already. Lighten, lighten. Too much reflective materials already. Think of casual, nondescript daily events.

Yeah, like what? like staying up to 1 or 2 every night. That's a first and that's cool. And it makes me yawn often too. There's a reason for everything. Just like the bland, bitter and sour ice lemon tea. I added 7 spoons of sugar into 500ml of water. And it's still not sweet enough. But it's got that healthy, close-to-nature fragrance. Until I decided to dilute the whole concotion by adding 300ml more water. Haha! It still taste good though!

Notes to people:

The article that gladwin and angeline were referring to was on perceptions. And if you thought sick, that's just another perception. I was talking about my pillo. What were you thinking? xP

mingzhen: jaded means worn out or wearied.

Ok, I'm done.

i'd press the delete button.

Ok, I wish to forget that incident now. I mean, just like the chem spa, it's causing me a huge amount of emotional stress. DELETE.

Then learn from that lesson before i delete everything. Phrase your words carefully and use the correct tone and everything. i was in drama. I should know. how ignorant. -.-

And on the flipside, I've completed all my chem and bio homework! Yay! Maybe i should do a lil maths and physics later.

Maybe just maybe. I'll forget all about that incident. never again. :s

waiting for the empty train.

Heyyo! I almost blacked out halfway while typing the last post. Gosh, was yesterday exhuasting.

And it was such crazy fun. Quite crazy, quite out of control and deliriously happy. Like how tycoons were typhoons and how beiying's park lane hotel got struck by a tycoon. ROFL. So it was gladwin, siewmun, beiying and me at mz's house. Yeah, playing like fools on the brink of insanity. I make the house sound like an asylum. Well, it isn't. Well, not yet.

So I was freaking happy yesterday. Yeah, and it's been so long. The times of suspicion and fear has been gnawing since the start of term 3. Yes, I have been jaded. I know what to expect from people now. Well, if term 3 has anything to teach me, it is to analyse deeper to get the more solid truth rather than the self-proclaimed superficial statements. Really, you have to dig deeper.

Revolutionary Road is divine. It's now at the very top of my 'favourite book' list. (:

Chin's new hairstyle was LOL. Hahaha, it sorta made my morning cause the afternoon was kinda soured again. I can take disappointments. There's so much of it all over the place already anyway. Ok, enough of emotionally unsettling stuff, I'm not as emotionally unstable as I sound.

I guess that's the drawback from writing too many narratives.

happy teacher's day '09

I'll make this a quick one.

HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY TO ALL TEACHERS OUT THERE! (:
